Age of Confusion

Certainty is a fallacy
In this age of confusion.
There is no truth
Justice.
No way to know prophet
From propagandist
Champion of truth
From charlatan of service.
Let it be known
We are all ill omens to those that see us
As opposition.
As an ancient ruler once said:
“What is in the way
Becomes the way.”
Some will try to pass through you
Into perceived victory
Imagining you as their enemy:
Representative of their satan
Others will silence you
With anger and confusion.
However,
In the age of confusion
The only way truth will survive
Is if the battle rages on.
For silence only implies
That lies have won.

That is growth. It also rings true to me personally, in the fact that everyone lied to me (in some way) growing up: teachers, parents, etc. It makes it hard to know who and what exactly to trust, not because you're afraid of being wrong, but having stood up for the wrong cause.
