Immortality

Once again I am beginning to feel that long suffered ache. That feeling that makes all of my usual recreation seem dull and poor. I feel an un-embodied desire, a want to do something, I know not what; That long suffered ache. The darkened thoughts contemplating this thing called life. The shortness leads me to my desire, a need to live for purpose, and this is what I call immortality.

Immortality is the name I give to the chance of what you do to outlive you. It's why many people have children, it's why some people save lives, and it's why I write, learn, and create. If I create only one thing that lasts beyond my life in a meaningful way, I will consider myself immortal.
