The suffering experienced by the rich man and the poor man is equivalent, though very different; I find them both equally bearable. It is most important to me that I have the time and energy to think my own thoughts, to my own ends, and to that end I choose to treat money as food, and take no more than I need, as more is not good for me.


-More than what one needs is always too much. Too much is a harmful amount by definition.-


If the honing and defining of my own governing principle and way with words leads me down a path where I am seen as a madman, then let it be so. At least I was a madman who was true to his madness.
